Job summary

The Multiplayer Group (MPG) is seeking a deeply talented, fully remote Senior Backend Engineer based in the UK or EU to join a team of backend engineers delivering server backends for AAA games. You will contribute to building scalable distributed services, working with Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in game development with server backends for AAA titles or similar
• Two backend services released with high concurrent users
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, C#, C++, or Kotlin; Python/Node.js/React desirable
• Cloud experience: AWS, GCP or Azure; AWS Certification advantageous
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD experience
• Documentation, design work and ability to discuss technical topics
• Autonomy, time management and strong communication

• Build and maintain backend systems and deployments
• Collaborate with team lead to estimate and prioritise work
• Iterate on solutions with peers to meet requirements
• Maintain high standards: tests, CI/CD and documentation
• Support team members and expand existing codebase
