Code Wizards Group is a world leader in backend and multiplayer infrastructure for the gaming industry. Multiplayer Wizards is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join permanently, focusing on game migration work.

You will apply your DevOps expertise to keep live services online and to educate others in the team. Expect to work with automation, cloud migrations to AWS, and a broad mix of toolkit including Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Grafana, in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Qualifications

Experience migrating a live service game in production.
Knowledge of backend systems for online games and exposure to game engines (Unity/Unreal).
Willingness to expand knowledge on unfamiliar infrastructure and tools.
Automation experience with a wide range of tools (Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, Kubernetes).
Prior experience migrating games between cloud providers, e.g. to AWS.
Excellent knowledge of containers, VMs and Linux server administration.
Programming experience or personal coding projects.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and root cause analysis on customer infrastructure, including incidents.
Identify improvements to team efficiency and customer support processes.
Assist with escalated issues across multiple teams.
Write clean, scalable, and performant scripts & code.
Be part of regular on-call rotation supporting customers and internal teams.
