Job summary

Code Wizards are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Multiplayer Wizards team, working permanently on migration projects and live game infrastructure. You will diagnose incidents, automate environments, and support both customers and internal teams across on-call rotations.

Ideal candidates will have extensive gaming industry experience, backend and cloud migration expertise, and a strong grasp of containers, Linux, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Experience in gaming industry with live service production.
• Knowledge of backend systems for online games; exposure to game engines like Unity or Unreal.
• Willingness to expand knowledge on unfamiliar infrastructure and tools.
• Automation across a range of tools including Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, Kubernetes.
• Experience migrating a live game from one cloud provider to AWS.
• Strong knowledge of containers, virtual machines and Linux server administration.
• Demonstrable programming or personal code projects.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform root cause analysis on customer infrastructure, including in incidents.
• Identify improvements to team efficiency and customer support processes.
• Assist with escalated issues across multiple teams.
• Write clean, scalable, and performant scripts and code.
• Participate in a regular on-call rotation to support customers and internal teams.
