Job summary

Mostyn Chase in Bracknell is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help transform a live AWS-heavy estate and lead Kubernetes growth across the global team.

This hands-on role covers building, deploying and running applications on AWS, VMware and Kubernetes, implementing automated pipelines (GitHub Actions) and providing technical guidance to development and DevOps colleagues. The position is hybrid with 2–3 days on site.

Qualifications

• Strong Kubernetes experience (core requirement).
• Solid AWS experience (core requirement); Azure acceptable if AWS exposure exists.
• Broad technical knowledge across DevOps and IT, not narrowly siloed.
• Logical problem solving with clear design/implementation reasoning.
• Nice to have: Terraform, Ansible or Puppet, Docker, ECS or EKS, monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana), Linux, Windows, networking.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and run applications across AWS, VMware and Kubernetes.
• Introduce and grow Kubernetes capability across the estate.
• Maintain automated delivery through pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Support containerisation, monitoring and production issue identification.
• Provide technical guidance to development and DevOps colleagues.
• Step into production work occasionally, though IT Operations owns production.
