Job summary

Nuvion Tech in the North West England is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own a production AWS estate. You will design, build and run infrastructure as code, focusing on resilience, security, cost and observability while enabling the development team to safely own infrastructure for new features.

Qualifications

• Senior DevOps experience on AWS production estates.
• Strong Terraform and Amazon ECS experience.
• Solid AWS networking, IAM and security knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD in CircleCI or GitHub Actions.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Own container workloads on Amazon ECS (autoscaling, health checks, load balancing).
• Lead infrastructure security (IAM, networking, secrets, encryption) and remediate findings.
• Own and extend the Terraform estate (modules, remote state, drift).
• Design, document and test disaster recovery (multi-account/region).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with multi-environment promotion.
• Improve monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Drive cloud cost reductions.
• Support developers to own their infrastructure changes safely.
• Senior-level ownership of a production AWS estate.
• CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
• Multi-account/multi-region AWS and disaster recovery experience.
• Production incident response and cost optimisation.
