Job summary

MCS Group in Belfast is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to own and optimize deployment pipelines and infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers to shape how applications are built, deployed and monitored, and drive automation across cloud environments.

The role requires hands-on expertise with containers, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD tooling, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a DevOps, cloud or platform engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
• Hands-on with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform or comparable IaC tools.
• Understanding of observability and reliability.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Develop infrastructure as code and reduce manual configuration.
• Support containerised apps and Kubernetes environments.
• Improve monitoring, logging and alerting for issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment problems with dev teams.
• Share knowledge and contribute to engineering standards.
