Job summary

The Parliamentary Digital Service is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its engineering team in the UK. This senior, hands-on role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, and scalable platform development to enhance software delivery and reliability.

You will lead DevOps practices, design CI/CD pipelines, and empower engineering teams with self-service capabilities while aligning with security and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the design and governance of CI/CD pipelines across multiple product teams.
• Skilled in automated cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code patterns.
• Advise on tooling, methodologies, and engineering processes.
• Strong focus on security by design and secure pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define, architect, and govern DevOps processes.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipeline frameworks and self-service platform capabilities.
• Deliver secure engineering practices across pipelines and resources.
• Improve service operability and reliability; drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and lead DevOps engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Champion modern engineering, cloud, platform, and security practices.
