Job summary

CAC I Ltd's Information Intelligence Group is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join an Agile team on a large, bespoke software programme for National Security or Central Government. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, and security with opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong DevOps experience, working knowledge of AWS, containers, and modern tooling, and a collaborative mindset suited to a fast-paced government-facing

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of automation, CI/CD and container orchestration
• Ability to lead, mentor and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters with Docker and Helm
• Developing and implementing automated tools for building, deployment, monitoring and maintenance
• Developing and maintaining security, compliance, and disaster recovery policies
• Optimising infrastructure for high availability and cost efficiency
• Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance
• Troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues
• Manage and mentor junior DevOps engineers
