Job summary

OLIX is seeking a Staff/Senior Software DevOps Engineer to own the build, test, and CI flows for the DX-1 software stack, including compiler, runtime, simulator, and framework integration. The role focuses on fast feedback, reliable runs, and affordable resource usage across simulation compute and hardware-in-the-loop tests.

As a senior/staff engineer, you will optimize velocity for all engineers relying on this system, ensure hermetic builds, and push for observability and reproducibility

Qualifications

• Strong scripting and systems programming experience.
• Fluency with Python and a systems language.
• Fluency with containers, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, EE, mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the Build & Test Pipelines: design, build, and own CI pipelines and test-execution.
• Scale Test Execution: split large suite, parallelize, and cache with content-addressed keys.
• Manage the Fleet & Scarce Resources: run CI across cloud and self-hosted machines; provide fair access to hardware.
• Build the Performance & Readiness Signal: stand up baselines and dashboards for CI-health and readiness.
• Own Software Observability: select metrics store and build dashboards.
• Set Standards: keep builds hermetic and reproducible, contain blast radius when misconfigured.
• Improve cross-team velocity and feedback for engineers depending on the system.
