Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Azure DevOps, Boards, and YAML pipelines.
• Experience authoring reusable YAML pipeline templates.
• Hands-on Azure PaaS and SaaS services.
• Strong Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell skills.
• Experience with AKS, Docker and container orchestration.
• Understanding of Azure networking, VNets and load balancers.
• Experience with Azure policies, RBAC and cloud security best practices.
• Knowledge of security solutions such as WAF and DDoS mitigation.
• Monitoring and alerting implementation experience.
• Azure Landing Zone architecture and high-availability design.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of DevOps principles, automation and CI/CD across the organisation.
• Design, develop and maintain reusable Azure DevOps YAML templates and standardised processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers across IT.
• Own technical projects and ensure delivery to standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and Enterprise Architects to design robust cloud solutions.
• Review CI/CD changes for quality, consistency and best practices.
• Develop self-service capabilities while maintaining governance and security.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, infrastructure and automation.
• Advise stakeholders on technical approaches, risks and business impacts.
• Support cloud infrastructure, networking, security and high-availability solutions.
• Maintain documentation and change records; inform stakeholders of significant changes.
• Participate in out-of-hours support rota for critical incidents.
