Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer to lead the integration and automation of software deployments across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms. You will design and maintain automated pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, and Terraform/Ansible, ensuring reliable route-to-live processes with strong cross-team collaboration.

The role requires hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), ITIL knowledge, and working in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of application architecture components and their interactions.
• Experience deploying to Windows, Linux and cloud-native platforms such as Azure App Service.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD automation tools for application deployment (e.g. Azure DevOps).
• Experience using YML or other declarative languages for configuration management.
• Good working knowledge of source control systems such as Git and containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Understanding of software development processes and non-production environments to support route to live.
• Ability to install and configure software, gather test data, and perform debugging.
• Experience in release management, environment management and deployment processes; capable of introducing new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD tools into the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure consistency of environments across the route to live, including non-production vs production.
• Oversee routine maintenance procedures and diagnostic tests.
