Job summary

Station is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to join their cloud infrastructure team in London. The role is hybrid, full-time, and focused on building resilient AWS environments, scaling Terraform-based IaC, and advancing automation.

You’ll lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, champion DevOps best practices, and collaborate with software engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities across containerised workloads and cloud-native

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps or Platform Engineering experience in enterprise or government environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and enhance Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Build, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable delivery.
• Champion DevOps culture, automation, and engineering best practice across delivery teams.
• Improve platform resilience, observability, security, and operational performance.
• Work closely with software engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities.
• Support containerised workloads and cloud-native deployments.
• Lead technical discussions, provide guidance to engineers, and contribute to strategic decisions around platform engineering.
• Extensive hands‑on DevOps experience within complex enterprise or government environments.
• Strong AWS expertise across core services, networking, security, and platform design.
• Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies, alongside scripting in Python or Bash.
• Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and containerisation with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience implementing monitoring/logging solutions and operating in secure or regulated environments.
• Experience scaling multi-region cloud architectures.
