Job Opportunity

Join our dynamic team and take charge of producing and underwriting new and renewal business from our valued brokers. Collaborate with regional and product specialists and other partners to attract new clients, retain loyal customers, and explore new business opportunities. This role combines underwriting and sales, with direct responsibility for broker development within your portfolio.

As a local expert and role model, you'll inspire and guide your team, coaching and mentoring Development Underwriters to achieve their best. Travelers Europe offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, working three days in the office and two days at home, subject to policy changes. This role is eligible for a 2500 GBP/EUR referral bonus for successful referrals.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and assess risk for products and accounts, making decisions within your authority and providing recommendations.
• Underwrite complex accounts, considering different approaches to maximize profitability.
• Make prompt, sound decisions, negotiate terms, and execute product strategies to meet budgeted results.
• Manage your book of business, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
• Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and brokers, actively participating in meetings and sales planning.
• Create and execute sales plans, cross-sell products, and act as a responsible business partner.
• Participate in regional and product meetings, and ensure high customer service standards.
• Act ethically, adhering to all compliance and regulatory requirements, and keep accurate records.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• University degree and/or CII Advanced Certification or Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of industry operations, market insight, and financial drivers.
• Experience in underwriting management liability, professional indemnity, or financial institutions.
• Strong relationship management, analytical, and technical skills.

Must Have

• Previous underwriting experience in management liability, professional indemnity, or financial institutions.
