Job summary

University of Exeter is seeking a Senior Development Manager to drive philanthropic support across university priorities. You will manage a portfolio of major donors, including individuals, companies and trusts, with gifts potentially ranging from £50,000 to £500,000.

You will develop compelling proposals and build strong donor relationships, collaborating with academics to create high-value opportunities. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working with at least 60% of time on campus,

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong organisational abilities.
• Confidence to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience in major donor fundraising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate philanthropic support across University priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of prospective major donors (individuals, companies, trusts).
• Develop compelling funding proposals and funding opportunities with academics.
• Build relationships with donors and engage with stakeholders to achieve targets.
• Work collaboratively with academics to develop high-value opportunities.
• Contribute to the Greener, Healthier, Fairer campaign goals and targets.
