Job description

Senior Developer – Laravel, London (2 days in the office), Up to £65K.

This amazing consultancy help clients find, retain, and grow profitable customer relationships through deep insight into consumer characteristics and behaviours. Their work also supports commercial property developers and retailers in planning retail provision across the UK and internationally.

They work together to shape customer vision, define strategy, and deliver fully integrated customer experiences. Combining data, technology, and consultancy, they help businesses understand and influence how consumers engage with products and services.

This Senior Developer – Laravel will:

- Lead code reviews, pair programming, and delivery assessments to continually elevate development standards.

- Work closely with Project Managers to oversee technical delivery for a variety of clients — from initial scoping and architecture through to deployment.

- Manage and mentor a team of developers, including some collaboration with remote teams across Europe (occasional travel may be required).

- Partner with QA to improve testing processes and embrace automation throughout the development lifecycle.

- Act as a technical coach and mentor, supporting growth within the team.

- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring consistent delivery quality and technical excellence.

- Implement and advocate for high engineering standards, collaborating with the CTO to drive ongoing improvement.

- Leverage modern DevOps tools and practices for deployment and continuous integration/testing.

We’re looking for a Senior Developer with strong technical ability and great people skills — someone who can coach, communicate clearly, and build great digital experiences.

This Senior Developer will need:

- Commercial experience delivering robust web applications within cross-functional teams.

- Deep understanding of Laravel and its ecosystem.

- Working knowledge of modern front-end development practices.

- Some hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks (React or similar).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Comfortable with Git, automated deployment, and structured release processes.

- Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

- Ability to write (and help others write) automated tests.

- Experience estimating tasks, planning sprints, and defining user stories.

- Excellent client-facing communication skills.

- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.

- A real passion for clean code, scalable architecture, and purposeful design.
