Job summary

Evolve Energy in Manchester is transforming digitally to boost capacity and throughput. The Senior Developer will work in an Agile team to deliver updates to existing platforms, build new ones, and integrate with internal functions, contributing to CI/CD and QA support.

The role requires extensive senior development experience, with a focus on delivering robust, test-covered software and active participation in Agile ceremonies within a multi-discipline squad.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Developer in a commercial environment.
• Translate user stories into robust software components with test coverage.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, API interfaces and Azure Service Bus.
• Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive decisions.
• Proven track record in Agile squads with active ceremonies and CI/CD involvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Delivery Manager to ensure quality, robust solutions are delivered.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team success.
• Deliver tested software and support QA and deployment activities.
• Understand legacy and digital transformation landscapes and lead initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement with development and infrastructure colleagues.
• Lead refinement sessions to prepare user stories for development.
