Job summary

Nscale is hiring Detection & Response Engineers to decide what we detect, command the response, and automate the process across diverse environments. You will work in a rotating regional schedule, handling escalations, and driving automation to reduce incident handling time.

You will collaborate with AI agents to build, tune, and validate detections, automate containment, and lead incident command during major events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in detection engineering or IR.
• Experience building in public clouds (AWS, GCP).
• Ability to write investigations and case notes.

Responsibilities

• Map detection coverage against attacker tradecraft and gaps.
• Turn coverage gaps into detection ideas with AI agents.
• Tune rule logic and judge performance before going live.
• Make the final call on promotions of detections.
• Retire or retune noisy detections.
• Identify telemetry gaps and justify fixes.
