Job summary

WRITER is seeking a Staff Detection and Response Engineer to protect our AI infrastructure. You will design AI-specific threat detections, automate responses, and coordinate incident handling across multiple teams.

This role combines hands-on security engineering with strategic threat intelligence to stay ahead of evolving threats. You’ll work with AI Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Software Security teams to defend a leading AI platform, maintaining a 24/7 on-call rotation and driving

Qualifications

• 3+5+ years in security operations or incident response in production
• Experience securing AI/ML infrastructure or distributed systems
• Strong programming skills to build detection logic and automate responses

Responsibilities

• Design detection strategies for AI-specific threats like prompt injection and data poisoning
• Create automated response playbooks and self-healing security workflows
• Lead incident response coordination across Cloud, AppSec, Enterprise, and AI Security teams
• Hunt for threats across GPU clusters and distributed training environments
• Build detection-as-code frameworks with version control and dashboards for security metrics
• Collaborate with AI Research, Cloud Infrastructure, and Software Security Engineering teams
• Maintain 24/7 on-call rotation for critical AI security incidents
