Job summary

Jas Gujral in London is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for a Bank in the City. You will provide desktop support to around 130 users across Europe, with emphasis on the City of London.

The role involves hardware builds for PCs/servers, software installs and upgrades, and user training. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of proven desktop support experience, Cisco and Microsoft platform expertise, and CCNP or similar certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of proven desktop support experience.
• Experience with Cisco and Microsoft platforms.
• Hands-on hardware builds for PCs and servers.
• Experience with data-centre inter-connectivity and VLANs.
• Ability to document and resolve issues within the Support Team.
• Cisco certification (CCNP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to approximately 130 users across Europe, majority in City London.
• Install, upgrade software and manage login permissions for users.
• Train users in software applications and best practices.
• Log issues clearly and follow up with appropriate actions to resolve them within the team.
• Work within the Service Support Team on rotating cover and process improvements.
