Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Design and Preconstruction Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead civils and water sector projects in the Welsh region. The role involves reviewing designs, delivering innovative engineering solutions, and managing client relationships and contracts across multiple sites in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, and Worcester.

You will oversee procurement, tender evaluation, and coordination between design teams and site operations, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Manager / Project Manager delivering civils and water sector schemes.
• Relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng or NVQ Level 6+) with up-to-date SMSTS and CSCS.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the Southern Region.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge designs, improving constructability and efficiency across multi-million-pound projects.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions and lead technical assessments and calculations.
• Manage client relationships, programmes, budgets, risks and deliverables; administer changes and variations.
• Support tender processes and engage stakeholders across schemes; manage project finances and resources.
• Lead teams of designers and construction staff and govern contract management from early warnings to change control.
