Read Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and shape our growing Design Management team across education, commercial, industrial and public-sector projects. You will drive design development from concept through to completion, collaborating with clients, consultants and subcontractors to deliver buildable, sustainable solutions.

You will work with senior leadership to ensure design aligns with programme, budget and regulatory requirements, while helping to build

Qualifications

• Experience in design management or construction contracts
• UK driving licence required
• Degree or higher in a design/construction discipline advantageous but not essential
• Ability to lead design teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Plan and program pre-construction activities with the design team.
• Coordinate the design process with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Submit and discharge statutory approvals with Planning and Building Control.
• Develop value engineering to save cost and improve sustainability.
• Use CDE platforms to manage information.
• Support project delivery teams with technical assistance.
• Maintain deadlines and manage workload across teams.
• Strengthen client and supply chain relationships.
