Job summary

4Front Recruitment is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design management on a flagship mission-critical development in the UK. The role requires steering multidisciplinary teams from concept through to completion, ensuring governance, technical assurance and design performance meet the highest standards.

The successful candidate will drive design strategy, supervise design reviews, and promote value engineering while aligning with procurement, construction and commissioning objectives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading design management across major construction projects.
• Strong background with main contractor or specialist design-build contractor.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex construction programmes.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations, Building Regulations, CDM and design principles.
• Experience managing design governance, performance, technical assurance and risk.
• Proven track record delivering value engineering while maintaining programme, quality, and buildability.
