Job summary

Walker & Sloan Ltd is recruiting a Senior Design Manager to lead the design management strategy for a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Acton, West London. You will coordinate design activities, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure governance and compliance align with programme objectives.

You will drive value engineering, manage technical risks, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and commercial teams to deliver a high-quality, on-time project.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading design delivery on large-scale construction projects within a main contractor environment.
• Ability to lead design governance, technical compliance and programme management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management strategy across a major project.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate design activities.
• Manage technical risk and drive value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure design integrates with construction and programme objectives.
• Mentor and influence stakeholders to deliver commercially successful outcomes.
