Job summary

Saxton Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a Top 10 building contractor to appoint a Senior Design Manager in Birmingham. You will lead design delivery across education, healthcare, leisure and MoD frameworks, steering D&B projects from pre-construction through handover.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, review architect and engineer proposals, ensure value, and maintain strong client and consultant relationships while delivering to programme and budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Design & Build projects as a Design Manager.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and building regulations.
• Experience working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
• Excellent coordination across multi‑disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Review technical aspects of details from architects and engineers.
• Coordinate changes with the design team to ensure best value.
• Lead design team meetings and coordinate the build process.
• Liaise with client and consultant during the project.
