Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Design Manager in Bristol, ideally based in or around the West Midlands area with travel across the Region. You will lead the design process, manage client and design teams, and ensure CDM 2015 compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role includes developing design programmes, coordinating with planners, and guiding consultants to deliver high-quality, compliant designs.

Formación

• CDM 2015 knowledge and compliance is essential.
• H&S responsibilities must be understood and followed.
• Able to read and interpret design and construction programmes.
• Understand buildability and challenge designs if they don’t meet sequencing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and present ideas concisely.

Responsabilidades

• Manage client, subcontractor, project and design teams for design development and delivery.
• Lead the design process in accordance with Galliford Try Building Management System.
• Apply and monitor CDM 2015 principles and safe design.
• Identify and mitigate design risk and realise opportunities during bids or projects.
• Assist in selecting designers and ensure competency checks.
• Develop scope/responsibilities for consultants and manage fees.
• Create design programme with Planner; manage information release schedules and quality of deliverables.
• Manage statutory and third-party processes such as Planning, Building Control, BREEAM.
• Undertake site inspections to verify as-built meets design criteria.
