Job summary

The Company seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process across South East projects and coordinate consultants, ensuring timely design information and compliance with regulations and client specs.

With proven UK construction experience, you will manage design programmes and liaise with project teams, clients and designers to drive efficient delivery. A relevant degree and BIM knowledge are beneficial, CSCS qualifications advantageous.

Qualifications

• Design management experience within the UK construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating consultants and subcontractor design.
• Experience using design programmes and handling technical information.

Responsibilities

• Managing consultants, architects and specialist designers.
• Coordinating design information across multiple disciplines.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Managing design programmes and ensuring information is issued on time.
• Identifying design risks and resolving technical issues.
• Working closely with project managers, commercial teams and site teams.
• Attending design team meetings and liaising with clients and consultants.
• Ensuring designs comply with building regulations, specifications and project requirements.
