Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd is seeking aSenior Design Manager for a major industrial & logistics project in the North West. You will own the design management function from development through delivery on a Tier 1 main contractor's project, with a competitive £85K+ package.

You'll coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors, maintain buildability and programme alignment, and guide the design process from pre-construction to handover, with opportunities to lead and own the project.

Qualifications

• Senior Design Manager experience with a Tier 1/main contractor.
• Strong design coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Industrial & logistics experience preferred or strong commercial/high-rise residential experience.
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive project from pre-construction to delivery.

I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Design Manager to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a major industrial & logistics project in the North West.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Manager who wants to take ownership of a large project and play a key role from design development through to delivery.

We're also open to experienced Design Managers who are ready to step up and run their own project.

The role

You'll take responsibility for the design management function, working closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project team to ensure the design is coordinated, buildable and delivered to programme.

The contractor has a strong and varied project pipeline, including:

• Large-scale industrial & logistics
• Commercial
• High-rise residential

We're looking for:

• Senior Design Manager experience with a Tier 1/main contractor
• Strong design coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Industrial & logistics experience preferred
• Alternatively, strong commercial or high-rise residential experience
• Someone capable of taking ownership of a project
• Strong understanding of the design process from pre-construction through to delivery
