Job summary

O'Neill and Brennan is seeking a Senior Design Manager for a freelance 6-12 month engagement, based at our Kent office on public sector projects including education, health and custodial.

You will join the pre-construction team to drive design management from conception through to site delivery, with a strong emphasis on BIM Level 2 and digital design processes. The role requires around 10 years as a Design Manager and delivering projects over £50m in value.

Qualifications

• BIM Level 2 knowledge and digital design in design management.
• Pre-construction and project delivery experience as Design Manager.
• 10 years' experience as a Design Manager.
• Project experience over £50m in value, public sector preferred.
• Degree qualification in UK construction.

Responsibilities

• Take a project from conception through pre-construction to site delivery.
• Work on public sector projects including education, health and custodial.
• Be based at the Kent office and contribute to early-stage design management.

Senior Design Manager - Freelance 6-12 months initially

This national Tier 1 main contractor has an immediate requirement for Senior Design Managers to work out of their Kent office on public sector projects which include Education, health and custodial.

Your contract will start immediately, and you will step into the pre-construction process at the office and be involved with the early stages of the projects.

The requirement is for Senior Design Managers with key public sector experience. You should have worked on schools, universities, prisons or hospitals for recognised construction companies.

You will have taken a project from its conception through pre-construction, to site and delivery.

For this Senior Design Manager role;

• Excellent knowledge and use of BIM level 2 and general digital design aspects of design management.
• Pre-construction and project delivery experience as Design Manager
• 10yrs experience as a Design Manager
• Project experience of over £50m in value - Public sector preferred
• Degree qualified in UK construction
