Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Design Manager for our client based in Springfield, Essex, to work within their Cladding Remediation Division. The role is responsible for the full design process from the tender stage right through to completion and is expected to manage multiple delivery phases on more than one project at a time. As such, this role will command a strong starting salary to be discussed at the first interview.

Role:

You will lead the facade design on projects, delivering innovative, cost-effective design solutions, ensuring compliance and fostering exceptional client relationships. You will drive project success through intelligent design, coordination, and proactive management to exceed expectations and achieve cost savings.

• Overall responsible for the design of the project.
• Develop a robust, cost-effective, and buildable design solution for each area.
• Proactive management of the Design House and other design partners on the project.
• Production of technical submissions.
• Delivery of approval, addressing construction issues, and producing installation information.
• Detailed coordination with other trades, surveys, and the supply chain.
• Checking drawings and production information.
• Samples process.
• Compliance with Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
• Proactive management of IRS, RFI’s, and Comment Tracker.
• Act as the point of contact for the site team, ensuring timely resolution of queries.
• Management of the design programme.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the customer team, including the client, architect, consultants, and main contractor.
• Contributions in design meetings.
• Demonstrate cost savings on each design.

Experience:

Facade Design Manager / Senior Facade Manager – experience within Facades.
