Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Senior Design Manager for major construction projects in the South West, based in Bristol. The role is permanent, full-time, offering a £75,000–£85,000 salary plus package and strong career progression potential.

You will lead end-to-end design management, oversee consultants, manage stakeholders and ensure CDM 2015 compliance across multiple project phases. BPSS clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager with a Tier 1 or major main contractor.
• Experience delivering complex construction projects in defence, justice, healthcare, education or commercial sectors.
• Strong understanding of design management processes and current Building Regulations.
• BPSS Clearance will be required and eligible.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for construction projects, ensuring efficient development and delivery of design solutions.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure adherence to CDM 2015 and health and safety principles throughout all phases.
• Identify and mitigate design risks and enhance project value and delivery.
• Oversee selection and competency of design consultants and manage their fees and schedules.
