This senior role leads estimating, technical design and bid development for multi-discipline projects, driving commercial and technical excellence to win work.

Qualifications

• Senior-level estimating and technical design experience within technology or infrastructure environments.
• 5+ years with recognised industry qualifications, or 10+ years without formal qualifications.
• Strong grounding in IT infrastructure, structured cabling, low-voltage electrical or wireless systems.
• Proven ability to design and price integrated multi-discipline solutions for design-and-build projects.
• Track record of contributing to winning work through technical authority and commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, estimating and tender submissions for medium to large complex projects.
• Define and manage scope, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies and commercial risk.
• Lead or validate technical designs and coordinate survey resources during pre-construction.
• Produce high-quality technical and commercial proposals for private/public sector submissions.
• Build trusted client relationships and support early engagement and scope definition.
• Monitor tender portals and frameworks and manage a structured pipeline of opportunities.

The Role

This is a senior, autonomous role leading estimating, technical design and bid development for complex, multi-discipline projects, weighted towards IT infrastructure, structured cabling, low-voltage electrical and wireless systems. Combining technical authority, commercial judgement andclient engagement, you will be trusted to shape solutions, influence bidstrategy and contribute directly to winning work. You will:

• Lead cost planning, estimating and tender submissions for medium to large, technically complex projects
• Define and manage scope, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies and commercial risk, supporting margin control and value engineering
• Lead or validate technical designs and coordinate internal and external survey resource during pre-construction
• Produce high-quality technical and commercial proposals suitable for private and public-sector submission
• Build trusted client relationships and support early engagement and scope definition
• Monitor tender portals and frameworks and manage a structured pipeline of opportunities

About You

• Senior-level estimating and technical design experience within a technology, infrastructure orengineering-led environment
• Minimum 5 years' experience with recognised industry qualifications, or 10 years' experience without formal qualifications
• Strong grounding in one or more of: IT infrastructure, structured cabling (copper and fibre), low-voltage electrical, or wireless and cellular systems
• Proven ability to design and price integrated, multi-discipline solutions in design-and-build and early engagement environments
• A clear track record of contributing directly to winning work through technical authority andcommercial judgement

Highly desirable: experience delivering fully designed tenders, framework submissions or Schedule of Rates contracts, and familiarity with tools such as Contract Master, Simpro, AutoCAD, Ekahau, JVSG, BlueBeam or FieldWire.
