Job summary

Cosworth Group Holdings Limited is seeking a permanent Design or Senior Design Engineer to develop high‑performance powertrain designs for automotive, aerospace, or racing programs.

You will use CAD to create designs, release assemblies and drawings, and exercise independent engineering judgment while meeting project deadlines. The role involves cross‑functional collaboration and guidance to less experienced engineers, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Educated in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Powertrain design or similar machinery and assemblies.
• Proficient in mechanical design and CAD tools.
• Proficient in using PLM systems (Teamcenter/SAP).
• Able to specify tolerances and material selections.

Responsibilities

• Develop schemes and detailed designs with form, fit, function and budget in mind.
• Create and release assemblies, models and drawings to Cosworth standards.
• Apply independent technical judgment using engineering principles.
• Meet project deadlines and report progress regularly.
• Take ownership from concept through development and production.
• Collaborate with other teams to communicate ideas and technical information.
• Support production engineers during manufacture, assembly and test.
