Job summary

The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers, collaborate within a small design team, and travel occasionally for projects. Qualifications include a degree in engineering or physics and substantial industrial experience. This is a full-time position, with 3-5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
• Extensive post-graduate industrial experience in engineering design.
• Strong grounding in core engineering fundamentals and applied mathematics.
• Demonstrable ability to translate theory into practical engineering solutions.
• Ability to work on-site as part of a collaborative design team.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering principles to real-world design challenges.
• Develop and manipulate empirical and analytical equations to support design decisions.
• Provide practical, experience-led solutions to electromechanical engineering problems.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with Managing Director and design team.
