Job summary

A consultancy in mechanical engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Cambridge. You will lead mechanical design projects across diverse sectors, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in UK Building Services Consultancy and a strong understanding of mechanical services including HVAC. Proficiency in industry software and CAD/Revit workflows is essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary for client interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC and low-carbon solutions.
• Progress towards Chartership (CIBSE/IMechE) is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical design packages from concept through detailed design.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders including Clients and Consultants.
• Conducting site inspections and feeding back into the design process.
