Job summary

Sapien Engineering is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join its design and manufacturing team. The role covers conceptual and bespoke redesigns, parts lists, and drawing records, with support across multiple projects and groups.

Occasional site visits with customers in the UK and overseas, plus liaison with suppliers, are expected. A Mechanical Engineering degree and 7+ years in machinery design are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree required (BEng or Meng).
• Full product life cycle design experience (ideally 7+ years).
• Machinery design experience (conveyors, bearings, mechanisms).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for conceptual and bespoke redesigns.
• Compile parts lists and maintain drawing records per technical office procedures.
• Handle several projects simultaneously and support design on larger group projects.
• Occasional site visits with customers across the UK and overseas.
• Liaise with suppliers.
