Solid Talent is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join the New Product Development team on a permanent hybrid basis in West Yorkshire. You will lead robust design solutions for high-speed machinery, drive GD&T and BOM processes, and deliver designs from concept through manufacture.

The role requires strong first-principles engineering, substantial NPD experience, and proficiency with NX/SolidWorks. Occasional site travel is possible; this is a hybrid position with competitive salary and

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer leading complex NPD projects.
• Strong first-principles mechanical engineering knowledge with expertise in high-speed machinery.
• Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD platforms (NX, SolidWorks, others).
• Extensive experience with GD&T and BOMs.

Responsabilités

• Act as a project Design Authority from specification to manufacture.
• Develop innovative mechanical concepts and trade‑offs using first‑principles engineering.
• Perform FMEA to identify and mitigate design risks.
• Lead design reviews and protect IP opportunities.
