Qualifications

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join us at CPW, based at our Solihull office. This is a permanent full-time position working 36.25 hours per week under our agile framework.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role with a high degree of autonomy. You should be organized, flexible, driven, and capable of managing projects and mentoring junior team members. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as Project Leader on selected projects
  • Collaborating with larger project teams
  • Attending meetings and presenting to clients
  • Enhancing technical excellence within the team
  • Developing as a key client contact over time
  • Fostering repeat business through excellent customer care
  • Working on diverse, technically challenging projects
  • Engaging with clients throughout project stages
  • Producing drawings, specifications, and guiding calculations

We seek candidates with a Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards), or HNC/HND with relevant experience.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of design experience in building services
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, Revit
  • Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations
  • Understanding of HTM standards is advantageous
  • Membership in CIBSE or IET preferred
  • Knowledge of HV/LV systems and embedded generation integration
  • Experience with renewable technologies and BREEAM
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
