Job summary

Onfab Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Design Engineer to design ONFAB products, applying creativity and innovation to current and future developments. You will provide technical support, design reviews and mentoring to engineers in the team.

The role requires strong CAD skills (2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks), production of manufacturing drawings, and collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams to meet quality standards and cost targets.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or equivalent.
5+ years in engineering, design and manufacturing.
Strong CAD experience: 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
Knowledge of product data management (PDM) and design configurations.

Responsibilities

Lead cradle to grave design projects, embedding design for manufacture.
Provide technical direction and design leadership to the team and manage projects.
Produce 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) manufacturing drawings and related documentation.
Create cut-files for manufacturing as required.
Deliver technically focused presentations to internal and external groups.
Provide technical support to customers and manufacturing teams on materials, tolerances and processes.
Drive cost reduction and margin improvement in projects.
Attend customer sites to support installations and maintain professionalism.
Attend industry conferences to support sales with technical input.
Ensure adherence to quality system procedures.
