Job summary

Savillex Life Sciences c/o ONFAB limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Design Engineer to drive the design of ONFAB products, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with ISO standards. The role combines creative development with hands-on technical support and design reviews.

You will mentor engineers, lead cradle-to-grave projects, and contribute to continuous improvement programs while collaborating with production, sales, and customers.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in an engineering, design and manufacturing environment.
• Extensive CAD experience with 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of PDM including copy-tree, pack and go, configurations and design tables.
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead cradle-to-grave design projects with focus on design for manufacture.
• Provide technical direction and design leadership and manage projects.
• Develop 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D SolidWorks models for manufacturing.
• Create cut-files and prepare manufacturing drawings.
• Deliver technical presentations to internal and external groups.
• Provide technical support on materials, tolerances and processes.
• Drive cost reduction and margin improvement.
• Attend customer sites for project installations.
• Contribute to industry conferences and exhibitions to support sales with technical input.
• Ensure adherence to quality system procedures.
