Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and technical delivery of geotechnical solutions across major infrastructure projects. You will oversee piled foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement schemes, mentoring grads, and driving design excellence from tender through construction.

The role requires a Civil or Geotechnical engineering degree, strong leadership, and experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys Suite, and AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience in foundation, geotechnical design or ground engineering.
• Strong understanding of foundation design, retaining structures and ground improvement.
• Desirable experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys Suite and AutoCAD.
• Excellent technical, communication and leadership skills.
• Proactive approach with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of piled foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement schemes.
• Design ground anchors, soil nails and other geotechnical solutions.
• Review engineering calculations and technical reports.
• Provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams and clients to resolve challenges.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
• Drive innovation and promote best practice across the design team.
