BRADFORD
Due to significant growth, Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Design Engineer, with a solid Mechanical background, to work for one of their clients, a busy Manufacturing/Engineering company based in Bradford.
Your role is to provide input into concepts that encompass the customers manufacturing requirements and you will be responsible for the mechanical design realisation of the projects under your control. Day to day tasks will include:
-Design automated assembly machines, semi-automated work cells and manual tooling aids for factory production equipment
-Analysing customer requirements and creating specifications to develop the scope, design and drawing package for manufacturing equipment
-Liaising with both customers and suppliers alike
-Support, debug, troubleshooting, and integration activities
-Analyse, specify and select commercial components
-Evaluate strength and cycle time requirements
-Review drawings and prepare drawing documentation
-Communicate with team members from various departments
-Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
To be successful, you must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, HNC or be Apprentice Trained with proven experience within the industry. Other keys skills required:
-Experience in the design of machines and solutions for automated production processes from concept to delivery
-Experience using Solidworks would be beneficial
-Production of engineering drawings, 3D-CAD models and technical files
-Disciplined approach to project planning and project management
-Ability to present designs to customers
-Knowledge of current British Standards
-Preparing BOM’s
-Creative mind with good problem-solving skills
You will be required to work 40hrs per week, 8am to 5.15pm from Mon to Thurs with an early finish on a Fri. The Salary for the role is up to £55k pa Depending on Experience and the role is advertised as Permanent.
