Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for conducting surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

At Telent, you'll join an innovative Engineering Team dedicated to impactful work, helping to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure around the clock.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Develop technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance into a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives in traffic signal design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Familiarity with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
