Job summary

Flow Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager to support leadership in a busy nursery and help deliver high-quality care for children.

You will oversee planning and record keeping under EYFS, promote partnerships with parents, and build professional relationships with Local Authority bodies and regulators.

The role requires managing a room or team, safeguarding knowledge, and staying informed on policy developments, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3.
• Experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential.
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including planning and record keeping.
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
• Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices.
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
