Job summary

Oaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, part of Willinbrook Healthcare, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant on a full-time contract around 33 hours per week. Pay is £14.00–£14.50 per hour, DOE, with PVG, pension and uniform provided.

You will support delivery of high quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs, including advanced dementia, overseeing medication, and ensuring safe, well-organised care within a structured team.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is minimum
• Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training competency
• Experience leading a care team
• Ability to support individuals with complex needs

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality, person-centred care
• Oversee medication administration and monitoring
• Ensure accurate record keeping and care plan reviews
• Provide guidance to Care Assistants and maintain a calm environment
• Communicate with families and healthcare professionals
