Job summary

Ashlea Court Care Home is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts on a full- and part-time basis. The role offers £13.60 per hour, with contracted hours of 33–44 per week. PVG, pension, uniform, and onsite parking are provided to support a secure, well-equipped workplace.

You will assist residents with dementia and other health needs, following care plans and routines to promote dignity, independence and wellbeing. A calm, compassionate approach is essential for building trust and comfort.

Oaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, is part of Willinbrook Healthcare and provides specialist dementia care for up to 26 residents. The unit offers a structured, supportive and homely environment designed to meet the needs of individuals living with dementia.

Care Assistant Contract

  • £13.60 per hour
  • Contracted to 33-44 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.

This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
