Job summary

Ashlea Court Care Home is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts on a full- and part-time basis. The role offers £13.60 per hour, with contracted hours of 33–44 per week. PVG, pension, uniform, and onsite parking are provided to support a secure, well-equipped workplace.

You will assist residents with dementia and other health needs, following care plans and routines to promote dignity, independence and wellbeing. A calm, compassionate approach is essential for building trust and comfort.

Qualifications

• Care assistant role requires compassionate, respectful approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Calm, patient, and resilient attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop in complex care environments.
• Experience in care or mental health is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with complex needs including dementia and mental health conditions.
• Follow individual care plans and daily routines to promote dignity and wellbeing.
• Provide safe, consistent, person-centred care and respond to wellbeing changes.
