Job summary

Capita plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Defence Trainer to coach and mentor educators supporting Royal Navy training initiatives. You’ll drive teaching excellence across the system, promoting innovative practices and developing future training capability in collaboration with Capita’s Selborne programme.

You will lead and assess teacher training, deliver CPD for Defence Trainers (military and civilian), and contribute to educational projects shaping training needs for

Qualifications

• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent) required.
• Experience of training delivery in the adult learning sector is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver training; skilled in digital learning methods.
• Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a teacher training and assessment programme including the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training and Care of Trainees.
• Conduct teaching observations in support of Ofsted requirements and teacher development.
• Deliver an education and training Continuing Professional Development programme to Defence Trainers (military and civilian).
• Support the delivery of a Coaching and Mentoring service for staff and trainees.
• Provide support and expertise for educational projects to meet future training needs.
