Turner & Townsend in the UK is seeking a Senior Estimator with Defence estimating experience to join our Estimating team across South East, South West and Midlands. You will lead production of robust estimates and cost models for major programmes, supporting decision making for defence clients.

This role requires strong MS Office and client-facing communication, and may involve staff mentoring and bid support. A solid track record in public sector projects and Defence sector is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence sector estimating and cost modelling.
• Proven ability to compile, assure and deliver complex estimates.
• Experience working in an integrated Project Controls environment.
• Experience with public sector projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client-facing work.

Responsabilités

• Supporting leadership or managing the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects/programmes.
• Playing a supporting role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Playing a supporting role in the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Supporting bids for new work.
• Acting as a role model for less experienced staff.
• Staff management (where appropriate).
• Supporting development and promotion of estimating best practice.
• Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to be able to give best practice advice in line with business objectives.
• Actively helping the development of Defence Estimating across the business.
