Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a seasoned commercial leader to shape and direct the commercial function of a major defence programme. As mobilisation begins, you will establish the commercial model, governance, pipeline, and supply chain arrangements, ensuring robust financial positioning.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leadership experience in defence, nuclear, infrastructure, energy, or similar regulated sectors.
• 15+ years of experience across complex, high‑value projects, programmes, or frameworks.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 knowledge including change control, compensation events, and contract administration.
• Proven track record in pricing, forecasting, margin, cash, and risk management.
• Experience leading commercial teams and managing major subcontract and supply chain packages.
• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation and steady-state delivery of the commercial function.
• Own contract administration and commercial governance across the framework and task orders.
• Lead task-order pricing, negotiation, and commercial agreement.
• Manage commercial and financial position across portfolio, including forecasting and risk.
• Ensure NEC3/NEC4 processes and compensation events are timely and auditable.
• Lead supplier and subcontract commercial strategy and performance.
• Maintain reconciled position with Project Controls and Finance.
• Develop and lead the commercial team with clear guidance to leadership.
