Job summary

OakNorth is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Debt Finance team in Manchester. You will lead day-to-day analysis and execution across complex transactions, building and reviewing financial models, assessing opportunities and shaping facility structures with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong background in accountancy or lending with ability to own complex transaction workstreams.
• Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills, including cash-flow assessment and debt sizing.
• Sound credit judgement and ability to identify risks that matter and explain conclusions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess new opportunities, building a clear view of business model, sector, management, financial and credit profile.
• Build and review financial models, including cash-flow forecasts, debt sizing and downside scenarios.
• Identify key risks and develop practical mitigants.
• Shape facility structures and terms with originators and credit colleagues, balancing customer needs with risk appetite.
• Own day-to-day deal workstreams, coordinating diligence, credit papers, term sheets and completion requirements.
• Present analyses and recommendations to senior stakeholders and contribute to credit discussions.
• Build relationships with borrowers, advisers and intermediaries, contributing to a high-quality pipeline of opportunities.
• Review work and share expertise with junior colleagues to strengthen quality and consistency.
